Meet Our Pastor

Pastor Stacey begins her ministry here with deep gratitude and an open heart to pastor with this special community of faith.  She is excited to learn “everything Salem” and become immersed in our ministry together.

A life-long United Methodist, Stacey grew up in Perry Hall United Methodist Church where she was nurtured in Christian love and faith.  She is a native Baltimorean and a graduate of Perry Hall High School.

She went to college in Fredericksburg, Virginia (Mary Washington) and then earned her Master of Divinity from Boston University School of Theology.  She has a Doctor of Ministry from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C.

She previously has served five United Methodist congregations in the Baltimore Region.  She comes to Salem after serving the previous six years in an Extension Ministry appointment.  She was the Director of Church and Community Engagement at the Board Of Child Care and an endorsed Chaplain.  It was in this capacity that she first preached for us earlier this year.

Stacey is married to Rick Dusek, and they are the proud parents of two young adult sons:  Matt and Scott.  Stacey’s father, Fred Nickerson, lives in an in-law apartment in their Monkton home.  Their family is completed by Gracie Mae, their yellow Lab and their three sister rescue kitties – Nala, Jasmine, and Belle (their Disney girls).
