Reception

Elizabeth Ann Evans Heacock, Bettie, 94, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2025.  Bettie was born November 9, 1930, she was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and devout Christian
whose faith guided every part of her life.

She was known for her kindness and the thoughtful ways she stayed in touch with those she loved—sending cards, emails, letters, and making phone calls just to say she was thinking of you. She delighted in meeting new people, sharing good humor, and relating stories that could make a room smile.

In 1955, she married the love of her life, Robert George Heacock.  Bob and Bettie shared a devoted partnership enjoyed until his passing five years ago. She has missed him deeply every day since.  She enjoyed sharing stories of their many camping adventures and their visits with cherished family and friends.

Bettie enjoyed playing games:  Chinese Checkers, Mexican Train, and Hand & Foot were among her favorites.  Laughing with friends and family, and cherishing the simple joys of connection were her life’s pleasures.

Miss Bettie was the last of her generation among her family and friends, and is survived by her three children, Susan E Walker, Robert E Heacock, and Patricia L Heacock and their spouses; several grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and countless people who were blessed by her friendship.

Her gentle spirit, faith-filled heart, and gift for making others feel remembered will be dearly missed but forever treasured.
